Prerequisite(s): MATH 046 with a P or appropriate placement; ENGL 087 or AENG 100 with a grade of C or higher or appropriate placement; or permission of the Science Division Chair or designee.

Course Outcomes:

Apply Newton’s Laws as they relate to motion and forces
Describe the significance of conservation of momentum and energy
Use simple equations in physics to show how physical quantities are related to each other
Describe how the physics presented in the classroom connects with the physics of everyday experiences
Investigate physics concepts by performing laboratory experiences with emphasis on observation and precise communication
Develop abstract thinking by exploring less tangible topics of physics
