BUS 494 - Applied Management Capstone Project: Part 2 Credits: 2 LAB hours per week: 4 The series of Capstone Courses are designed to integrate all other knowledge learned in the BAS Applied Management & Entrepreneurship program. The courses focus on the process of creating a business plan for an entrepreneurial venture and provide students with the tools and insights to start a business. In this course, students will continue work on a business plan. At the end of the quarter, students will have developed the Market Analysis, Marketing and Sales, Funding Requests and Financial Projections sections of a business plan. Recommended: BUS 493 . Course Outcomes:
- Describe the importance of writing a business plan for a new venture.
- Define the structure, sequence and scope of a business plan.
- Research target market for a business concept.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the functional areas of accounting, marketing, finance, management, and economics.
- Write the market analysis section of a business plan.
- Describe marketing and sales strategy for a business concept.
- Write the marketing and sales section of a business plan.
- Analyze funding needs for a business concept.
- Write the funding section of a business plan.
- Compile financial projections for a business concept.
- Write the financial projections section of a business plan.
