EST 235 - Introduction to Solar PV and Applications Credits: 3 LEC hours per week: 2 LAB hours per week: 2 The fundamental concepts required for safe, code-compliant design and installation of photovoltaic (PV) systems will be covered with a focus on grid-direct solar electric systems. Prerequisite(s): Grade of C or higher in EST 132 . Course Outcomes:
- Analyze customer needs

- Describe differences in inverters
- Demonstrate the ability to install a racking system, PV array, and electrical collection system
- Demonstrate the ability to test batteries and charging stations
