EST 103 - Introduction to Wind Energy

Covers fundamentals of wind energy focusing on wind production practices for all sizes of turbines, power distribution, and net metering.
Recommended: READ 088  or higher, CS 100 .
Course Outcomes:

  • Develop a working knowledge of wind energy terminology and turbine components.
  • Describe the factors affecting wind turbine siting.
  • Explain how wind turbines are power rated.
