SPAN& 123 - Spanish III

Introductory course for students wishing to learn Spanish as a second language. Provides a foundation for practical interpersonal communications. Topics include pronunciation, basic grammar, reading, writing, and an introduction to Hispanic culture. Formerly: SPAN 103.
Prerequisite(s): Grade of C or higher in SPAN& 122  or instructor permission.
Course Outcomes:
  • Exchange information both orally and in writing.
  • Conjugate verbs in the present perfect tense, for varying subjects in written and oral Spanish.
  • Explain the diversity of cultural influences both in student’s own culture and those of Spanish-speaking countries.
  • Discuss the future.
  • Compose and narrate a story.
  • Formulate and support an opinion.
