WELD 222 - Pipe Welding Lab II

Credits: 1-6
This course introduces students to pipe welding safety, industry practices, and processes in a laboratory setting. Students will learn, practice, and apply skills needed for pipe welding with the Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GMAW), and Oxy Acetylene Welding processes. Students prepare projects to weld using basic blueprint reading skills and complete lab practice while employing professional, ethical, and safe welding shop behavior.
Prerequisite(s): Grade of C or higher in WELD 113 and WELD 123.
Corequisite(s): WELD 202 and WELD 212.
