The AAS in Graphic Design and Web Development is a comprehensive two-year program that equips students with the technological, creative, and business skills needed for success in the tech industry. Students gain hands-on experience with graphic design applications, design principles, and marketing strategies, while also mastering web development skills including UX/UI, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and full-stack development. This diverse skill set prepares graduates for roles as designers in creative agencies, freelancers and entrepreneurs or as front-end or full-stack developers in web development teams. The program’s balanced approach ensures students are well-prepared to meet the evolving demands of the digital landscape.

Degree Outcomes:

  1. Demonstrate advanced proficiency in industry-standard graphic design and web development tools.
  2. Develop targeted marketing and advertising strategies for print, digital, and interactive media.
  3. Create illustrations, branding, marketing materials, product packaging, and other visual communication assets that employ the principles of design and achieve the intended impact.
  4. Create user-centered interfaces that address customer needs and enhance user experiences.
  5. Write clean, semantic code using industry-standard markup, styling, and scripting languages.
  6. Build responsive websites and web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks.
  7. Collaborate on coding projects using version control systems to manage shared codebases effectively.
  8. Manage project workflows with integrated development environments, command-line tools, and pipelines.
  9. Integrate graphic design principles into web development to create cohesive digital experiences.

Transferability: The AAS Degree is designed for students planning to enter their chosen career upon graduation. Often only selected credits are considered transferable to public or private universities.
