COSM 131 - Intermediate Principles and Procedures I Credits: 1-11 Intermediate instruction in cosmetology. Course Outcomes:
- Demonstrate the steps to complete a haircuts/hairstyles/coloring service for client scenarios.
- Compare and contrast safety and sanitation measures used for the protection of the client and Cosmetologist for each service rendered.
- Collect implements needed to provide Cosmetology services.
- Develop a styling plan for based on a client scenario.
- Discuss braiding and extensions techniques.
- Describe safety and sanitation for diseases of the hair and scalp.
- Explain basic chemistry and electricity used in Cosmetology.
- Examine Washington State Barbering regulations and laws.
