DRMA 253 - Intermediate Acting III

Character analysis and preparation for advanced scene work.
Course Outcomes:
 

  1. Demonstrate an ability to exhibit a wide range of characterizations/emotions.
  2. Ability to play against type.
  3. Exhibit diminishing self-consciousness and increasing self-confidence in live performance tasks.
  4. Define and apply standard terminology of the acting profession.
  5. Analyze and interpret a wider variety of textual materials and theatrical genres for performance.
  6. Demonstrate an increasing mastery of effective audition techniques.
  7. Demonstrate an ability to control personal “tendencies/habits” while employing proper techniques of vocal and physical expression necessary for live performance.
  8. Develop continuing respect and appreciation for the differing talents and abilities of other performers.
  9. Evidence respect for the differing talents and abilities of other artists/performers.
