DRMA 251 - Intermediate Acting I

Advanced acting techniques.
Course Outcomes:
 

  1. Demonstrate an ability to exhibit a wide range of characterizations/emotions.
  2. Display an ability to play against “type”.
  3. Exhibit diminishing self-consciousness and increasing self-confidence in live performance tasks.
  4. Define and apply standard terminology of the acting profession.
  5. Analyze and interpret a wider variety of textual materials and theatrical genres for performance.
  6. Demonstrate an increasing mastery of effective audition techniques.
  7. Demonstrate an ability to control personal “tendencies/habits” while employing proper techniques of vocal and physical expression necessary for live performance.
  8. Evidence respect for the differing talents and abilities of other artists/performers.

  6. How to prepare for an audition including singing and movement techniques
