ART 102 - Drawing II Credits: 5 Intermediate course designed for further exploration of the basic techniques of drawing using a variety of media. Lab hours required. Course Outcomes:
- Display thematic development over a series of drawings.
- Demonstrate increased hand and eye coordination.
- Explain and apply major terms, vocabulary, methods, concepts, and theories relevant to drawing.
- Use tools and materials proficiently.
- Construct drawings from observation and imagination.
- Demonstrate ethical and responsible use of media and information.

- Choosing one’s own subject matter and developing themes
- Hand and eye coordination
- Basic art vocabulary and drawing terminology
- Analysis and evaluation of drawings
- Introduction to materials, techniques, and styles of drawing
- Discovery and enjoyment of the expressive qualities of drawing that drawing can offer the individual
- Ethical and responsible use of media and information
- The formal elements of art and the principles of design
