BUS 291 - Cooperative Work Experience III


Credits: 1-10
Cooperative Education provides an opportunity for students to combine classroom theory with practical work experience. Experience gained in the workplace is directly related to the student’s field of study or career goals. This formal training period is agreed upon by the student, employer, and instructor.
Course Outcomes:
  1. Apply classroom concepts and theories to work activities.
  2. Assess personal skills, strengths, and weaknesses, and evaluate growth.
  3. Assess progress on measurable outcomes developed with the help of instructor and employer.
  4. Develop a network of professional contacts through work experience.
  5. Evaluate career goals.

  1. Practical experience working in a business under direct supervision of employer and faculty member.
  2. Networking for professional growth.
  3. Career development and exploration through work experience.
