CHEM& 263 - Organic Chemistry III with Lab

This course is the third course of a three-quarter organic chemistry sequence with lab intended for science majors or student pursuing professional health-science related careers. Topics include reactions of aldehydes, ketones, carboxylic acids and their derivatives, enols and enolates, amines and pericyclic reactions. Biologically important compounds such as carbohydrates, amino acids, lipids, and nucleic acids and their reactions will also be introduced.
Prerequisite(s): C or higher in CHEM& 262.
