ASL& 121 - American Sign Language I

Introduction to American Sign Language, including valuable information about Deaf Culture and historical events concerning the Deaf community. Students will learn conversational vocabulary and ASL storytelling techniques so they can socialize among the Deaf community whenever possible. Students will also learn culturally appropriate behavior, current issues concerning the Deaf community, and skills to use when communicating with individuals who experience hearing loss.
