This course is designed to strengthen students’ accuracy and effectiveness with speaking and listening in common settings and with anticipation of their further academic experiences. The focus is on building familiarity with the patterns of grammar, pronunciation, and intonation to facilitate clear expression and recognition of meaning for a variety of purposes. Formerly ESL 015. Prerequisite: CASAS placement score of 207 or above. Formerly: ESL 015.
