This course is designed to build foundational reading, speaking, and listening language skills. An integrated skills approach supports students’ reading fluency, phonics application, vocabulary acquisition, pronunciation, spoken fluency, and ability to describe and express thought in English. Prerequisite: CASAS placement score of up to 206 or instructor recommendation.
