BARB 122 - Practical Application II


Credits: 1-7
CLIN hours per week: 21
Continued practice of the basic services of barbering, while taking clients on the lab floor. Practice in shampoos, haircuts, trimming facial hair, hair styling, facial shaving, artificial hair, safety, and sanitation.
Prerequisite(s): Grade of C or higher in BARB 112 .
Course Outcomes:
  • Employ safety and sanitation routines before, during, and after client appointments.
  • Demonstrate hair cutting and trimming with razor/scissors/clippers techniques on mannequins and live models.
  • Use shampoo, rinse, and draping techniques on live models.
  • Practice facial shaving, draping, and shaving procedures on mannequins and live models.
  • Use hair styling techniques for wet and dry hair on mannequins and live models.
  • Perform styling on mannequins and live models.
  • Practice Washington State Barbering regulations and laws.
