CS 266 - Routing and Switching I

Introduction to the configuration of Cisco routers and switches using the IOS operating system. This course, in conjunction with CS 267 - Routing and Switching II, prepares students to pass the CCNA certification. This course is aimed at the ICND1 part of CCNA certification.
Recommended: CS 265.
Course Outcomes:

Demonstrate knowledge of Cisco routers in enterprise wide networks.
Master Basic Content including LAN switching; VLANs; LAN Design; IGRP; Access Lists.
Master increasingly sophisticated router configuration, switch configuration; network troubleshooting skills.
Master Documentation Skills; maintaining engineering journal; design documentation and electronic portfolio development.
Master People Skills; working in engineering teams, self and project management, oral exams, presentations.
