CARP 173 - Interior/Exterior II

Coursework includes: installation of door frames, interior wall finish, window and door trim, installation of cabinets and flooring.
Course Outcomes:
  • Recognize behaviors used in a safe and professional construction environment.
  • Compare uses of pocket doors, pre-hung doors, and lockets.
  • Explain the types of insulation used in a building’s attics, crawl space, and joists.
  • List the uses of paint and primer for the interior and exterior of building.
  • Identify types of siding.
  • Explain the techniques used for cabinet and counter top installation.
  • Compute the amount of tile required in for a designated area.
  • Describe techniques used in driveway, patio and/or other types of concrete flat work.
  • Identify areas where touch ups and punch work are required.
