CARP 173 - Interior/Exterior II Credits: 6 LEC hours per week: 6 Coursework includes: installation of door frames, interior wall finish, window and door trim, installation of cabinets and flooring. Course Outcomes:
- Recognize behaviors used in a safe and professional construction environment.
- Compare uses of pocket doors, pre-hung doors, and lockets.
- Explain the types of insulation used in a building’s attics, crawl space, and joists.
- List the uses of paint and primer for the interior and exterior of building.
- Identify types of siding.
- Explain the techniques used for cabinet and counter top installation.
- Compute the amount of tile required in for a designated area.
- Describe techniques used in driveway, patio and/or other types of concrete flat work.
- Identify areas where touch ups and punch work are required.
