AGSC 113 - Cultivated Plants Credits: 5 LEC hours per week: 5 Provides a practical understanding of plant anatomy, morphology, and growth of agriculture crops. Formerly: AGPR 113. Course Outcomes:
- Identify the root, shoot, leaf, and reproductive portions of plants and describe their functions.
- Differentiate between root, shoot, leaf, and reproductive portions of monocots and dicots.
- Distinguish between vascular and non-vascular plant forms.
- Explain and illustrate vascular function in plants.
- Analyze structure, position, and significance of stomata in plants.
- Compare seedling germination and emergence in plants and their morphological features.
- Correctly identify unknown plant species using a dichotomous key.
- Determine the ecological impacts of plants in agricultural and natural resource settings based on morphological and anatomical characteristics.
