Provides the necessary knowledge and skills to facilitate BLS training adhering to the standards of the American Heart Association. Formerly: AHSE 052.
Course Outcomes:

Demonstrate instruction of didactic material and perform BLS skills to AHA standards.
Identify and correct inadequate CPR performance.
Discuss principles of remedial and psychomotor learning.
Describe records management for AHA Community Training Centers.
Discuss use and maintenance of mannequins, AED’s, airway adjuncts, and related supplies.
