ART 102 - Drawing II

Intermediate course designed for further exploration of the basic techniques of drawing using a variety of media. Lab hours required.
Prerequisite(s): ART 101  
Course Outcomes:
  • Display thematic development over a series of drawings.
  • Demonstrate increased hand and eye coordination.
  • Explain and apply major terms, vocabulary, methods, concepts, and theories relevant to drawing.
  • Use tools and materials proficiently.
  • Construct drawings from observation and imagination.
  • Demonstrate ethical and responsible use of media and information.

  2. Hand and eye coordination
  3. Basic art vocabulary and drawing terminology
  4. Analysis and evaluation of drawings
  5. Introduction to materials, techniques, and styles of drawing
