BARB 112 - Practical Application I


Credits: 1-7
CLIN hours per week: 21
Introduction to the basic services of barbering. Practice in basic shampoos, haircuts, trimming facial hair, hair styling, facial shaving, artificial hair, safety, and sanitation.
Course Outcomes:
  • Utilize safety and sanitary measures in all phases of Barbering designated for beginning students.
  • Apply hair and skin care skills.
  • Use communication and interpersonal skills with clients and peers.
  • Practice Washington State Barbering regulations and laws.

  3. Anatomy
  4. Chemistry
  5. Hair and scalp analysis
  6. Shaving procedures and facial hair design
