BUS 228 - Legal Terminology Credits: 5 LEC hours per week: 5 Designed to give students a background in basic legal terminology. The student who successfully completes this course will understand the ‘language’ of legal professions in a contextual application of the terminology. Formerly: OT 228. Course Outcomes:
- Understand basic legal terminology.
- Demonstrate how to use legal references.
- Create professional legal documents.
- Identify corrections required in proofreading a legal document.
- Produce, prepare, assemble, and distribute legal documents for each area of the law studied.
- Construct usable documents.
- Identify how procedures are done in students’ own states.
