BUS 151 - Advanced Microsoft Excel

Develop advanced business-related spreadsheet skills, including the ability to prepare, format, maintain and enhance an Excel worksheet for common business needs. Integrate formulas, functions and pivot tables, manage multiple worksheets and workbooks, utilize filtering, conditional formatting, sorting and other advanced features used to understand how to make important business decisions. Formerly: OT 151.
Prerequisite(s): Grade of C or higher in CS 100  or CS 110 .
Course Outcomes:
  • Use advanced worksheet editing and formatting tools.
  • Design workbooks and worksheets based on a variety of business conditions.
  • Implement functionality in workbooks and worksheets using the appropriate formulas and features.
  • Import data from various sources to worksheets and tables.
  • Use scenarios, data tables, and goal seeking tools in excel to accomplish what-if data manipulation.
  • Create pivot tables to examine data.
  • Analyze workbook data using comprehensive data analysis methods to make business decisions.
