Introduction to the construction industry and principles of residential building construction. On-site work that includes excavation, footings, foundations, wall framing, trusses, sheathing and tool safety.
Course Outcomes:

Practice industry safety regulations.
Interpret symbols and drawings used in blueprints.
Prepare the site.
Install a foundation.
Erect rough framing.
Identify roofing materials needed for specific work.
Demonstrate techniques for interior and exterior wall framing.
