This parent education course provides an opportunity to discuss and study relevant parenting topics. Discussions are enhanced through the use of current literature, filmstrips, videos, and guest speakers from the community. Observing and interacting with children provide the laboratory experience.
Course Outcomes:

Discuss a variety of parenting education topics.
Repeat songs, finger plays, and creative activities to share with children.
Relate to and guide their children and other children through the socialization process.
Recognize and value the uniqueness of each participating child in the laboratory experience.
Practice observation skills.
Create a parenting community of parenting peers, or support system.
