Course Outcomes:

Identify the history of education and its influence on teaching and schools today
Identify the meaning and relevance of philosophy and its importance to education
Identify the impact of diversity on education
Identify effective instruction and management practices
Identify curricular issues and influences
Identify the role of local, state, and federal government in the governing and funding of public education
Identify the teacher as a professional
Identify the ethical responsibilities of teaching
Develop a beginning professional e-portfolio which contains a resume, personal philosophy, letter of professional introduction, classroom observation, and final written project
