Integrated Digital English Acceleration classes prepare ELA students for entry into I-BEST and other post-secondary programs. 30 instructional strands focus on English language instruction using an information literacy approach that aids students to learn language and locate information within a variety of contexts. The instructional design uses the flipped classroom model that provides online opportunities for students to gain foundational knowledge before coming to class, where they will apply the knowledge in project and problem-based activities. At least 50 percent of the instruction uses digital learning resources and include opportunities for self-directed learning.
