HPER 264 - Stress Management Credits: 3 LEC hours per week: 3 Stress is a normal part of life. Some of the most common triggers associated with stress will be discussed. Students will learn techniques to manage these stressors in a healthful way. Both physical and mental coping skills will be explored. This course counts as an ELECTIVE toward an AA degree, NOT as an ACTIVITY COURSE. Course Outcomes:
- Explain the impact of stress and its relationshp to health and disease.
- Demonstrate stress reducing practices and techniques.
- Articulate theoretical knowledge of stress management principles.
- Develop a personalized stress management plan.
