This course is designed for students who plan to continue a study of mathematics in high school or college. The course focus is on functions and their graphs using transformations, exponential and logarithmic functions, series and sequence data analysis and the study of conic sections.
Course Outcomes:

Add, subtract, multiply, and simplify polynomial expressions.
Compute with integer exponents.
Simplify square root expressions and solve square root equations.
Factor monic trinomials.
Solve quadratic equations.
Graph a two-variable quadratic equation.
Analyze the equation of a two-variable quadratic equation.
Solve problems using a two-variable quadratic equation.
Classify numbers by their properties.
Classify functions as linear, quadratic, logarithmic, or exponential.
Simplify expressions and solve equations involving logs and exponents using properties of exponents and logarithms.
Compute using standard function notation.
