Students will plan and propose a workplace (paid or volunteer) experience or research project to pursue and explore workplace leadership skills.
Course Outcomes:

Summarize individual professional career goals relevant to each student’s degree/major.
Research and evaluate potential workplace (paid or volunteer) or research projects to pursue.
Develop and present a workplace or research project proposal.
Describe the characteristics of an effective leader, the major roles of a leader, and how leadership differs from management.
Compare and contrast interpersonal behaviors and their resulting effects on workplace relationships.
Describe possible solutions for workplace issues.

Course Topics:

Project research, selection, and planning to prepare for implementation.
Project proposal development and presentation.
