IELP 052 - IELP Learning

This is an advanced elearning course for non-native speakers of English in the lntensive English Language Program (IELP). In this course, students will use computer technology and learning management systems to access and submit course materials; produce written work and create presentations; navigate the computer and internet; and access new information. Students will also improve keyboarding skills; become competent using education-related websites, apps, and tools; and enhance communication skills using e-mail.
Course Outcomes:
  • Use various software applications and programs, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Prezi, Google docs, etc,, for different tasks.
  • Evaluate which software application is best suited to a particular task.
  • Organize and categorize files into a file management system.
  • Use the internet for communicating, conducting research, and completing tasks.
  • Evaluate information presented in diverse media formats.
  • Write and send e-mails or messages using appropriate formal language and format.
  • Navigate Canvas to complete coursework, access resources, and communicate with classmates and instructors.

  4. Creating presentations using PPT, google slides, and/or Prezi
  5. Education tools, websites, and apps such as Flipgrid, Remind.com, Quizlet, youtube, elllo.org, etc.
