JD 102 - Forklift Safety Training and Certification

This course is designed to meet the new OSHA requirements for lift truck operator training and certification. Safe lifting/chaining and moving of loads will be demonstrated and discussed.
Course Outcomes:

Explain the regulations for motorized lift truck operation.
Identify the various types of powered industrial trucks and counter-balanced forklifts.
Identify the various parts of any given forklift.
Assess the safety limits of various forklifts and configuration, including fulcrum point, center of gravity, load center, and stability.
Describe the safe operation of a forklift from pre-use inspection to parking and shutting down.
Identify power sources for various forklifts and explain procedures for safe handling.
Complete industry certification in the safe operation of motorized lift trucks.
