Study of how the behavior presence of others impacts individual behavior and attitudes. Topics include conformity, obedience, aggression, prejudice, persuasion, interpersonal attraction, self-justification, and group processes. Course taken prior to fall 2010 also accepted for diversity requirement. Formerly: PSY 205.
Course Outcomes:

Distinguish among the major theoretical perspectives within social psychology and apply them to an array of relevant topics.
Apply social psychological concepts to self and others.
Define and explain terminology in social psychology.
Appraise the value and validity of research in social psychology.
Explain factors related to individual differences in self-understanding and social interactions.
