PSYC 205 - Social Psychology Credits: 5 LEC hours per week: 5 Study of how the behavior presence of others impacts individual behavior and attitudes. Topics include conformity, obedience, aggression, prejudice, persuasion, interpersonal attraction, self-justification, and group processes. Course taken prior to fall 2010 also accepted for diversity requirement. Formerly: PSY 205. Course Outcomes:
- Distinguish among the major theoretical perspectives within social psychology and apply them to an array of relevant topics.
- Apply social psychological concepts to self and others.
- Define and explain terminology in social psychology.
- Appraise the value and validity of research in social psychology.
- Explain factors related to individual differences in self-understanding and social interactions.
