TURF 291 - Cooperative Work Experience II Credits: 1-10 CLIN hours per week: 30 Students are employed in jobs directly related to the turf management industry. This formal training period is agreed upon by the student, employer, and instructor. Demonstrations of gas and diesel engines, electrical, powertrains, and hydraulics are done, in order that students are able to perform simple tune-ups and repairs on equipment. Course Outcomes:
- Demonstrate shop safety techniques and further development of operator skills.
- Effectively use reference manuals to achieve workplace outcomes.
- Create work schedules to establish preventative maintenance for equipment operation.
- Complete work tasks on time.
- Apply basic theories of engines, electrical wiring, principles of reel mowers and hydraulic principles.
- Identify and perform daily tasks relating to the development of job responsibility.
- Identify and practice interpersonal job related skills.
