WELD 172 - Aluminum Welding and Fabrication Lab Credits: 1-9 This course focuses on advancing students¿ skills in both Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) and Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) for aluminum, and the related safety, industry practices, and processes in a laboratory setting. It includes a variety of aluminum custom designs, and students will create their own projects from sketch to building the blueprint to a finished aluminum piece. Students will learn, practice, and apply welding skills of aluminum GMAW and GTAW and fabrication techniques while employing safe, professional, and ethical welding shop behavior. Prerequisite(s): Grade of C or higher in WELD 171 . Corequisite(s): WELD 106 .
