This is part one of a calculus-based physics sequence intended for physical science and engineering majors. Topics include linear and rotational motion, forces, kinetic and potential energy, momentum, and translational and rotational equilibrium. Lab work required. Formerly: PHYS 201.
Prerequisite(s): MATH& 151 with a grade or C or higher or appropriate placement; grade of C or higher in ENGL 087 or appropriate placement; or permission of the Science Division Chair or designee.
Recommended: READ 088 or higher.
