CNC Set-Up and Operations Certificate

This certificate is designed to teach the student how to setup, operate and maintain Haas CNC (computer Numerical Controlled) machines. It covers the following: how to start up the machine, move the machine’s axes, set tool length offsets, and how to set part zero. Lessons are based on standard industry practice and will be taught in a lab setting.

Certificate Outcomes:

  • Identify a CNC program number.
  • Identify G00, GOl, G02, and G03 in a G-code program.
  • Identify basic M-Codes.
  • Identify the X, Y and Z axis on a CNC machining center.
  • Identify the X, Y and Z axis on a CNC turning center.
  • Demonstrate how to power up and home the CNC milling center.
  • Identify the work offsets G54 through G59.
