Department Overview: CNC machines are radically changing the future of manufacturing. CNC (Computer Numerical Control) CNC Set-Up and Operations Technicians use computerized mills, lathes, grinders and drill presses to produce the complex, 3-D structures needed across industry. Walla Walla Community Colleges intensive 1-year certificate program provides the skills to enter and move up in this exciting field!
Degrees: Students may earn a CNC Set-Up and Operations Certificate.
Industry Description: The CNC industry is a high production machining trade that requires attention to detail, and a high level of reading precision measuring tools to achieve that parts being made are within the tolerances called out on the blue print. A complete understanding of all the functions required to operate the control panel on various CNC machines.
Entrance Requirements:
