CMST& 220 - Public Speaking Credits: 5 Develops students’ competency in planning, preparing, presenting, and evaluating basic speeches. Course Outcomes:
- Demonstrate the process of designing a successful oral presentation from outline to delivery
- Utilize essential verbal and non-verbal skills to enhance the delivery of speeches
- Recognize the causes of speech anxiety and formulate strategies to reduce and redirect it
- Evaluate the role of supportive listening skills in effective communication
- Identify and implement ethical public speaking skills
