Theory and practice of communication; understanding self and others while working to improve effective communication and conversation in one-on-one interactions in academic, professional and interpersonal settings.
Course Outcomes:
  1. Develop a range of effective interpersonal skills to build positive rapport and manage conflict within personal, academic, and professional relationships
  2. Develop and articulate interpersonal communication skills that empower both self and others
  3. Create strategies to communicate through grief, loss, anger and other difficult situations
  4. Identify and explain common barriers to effective interpersonal communication
