Provides experience in designing and building a local area network. Includes installation of the NOS (SUSE Linux), user accounts groups, security, application software, printers, menus, and accounting.
Course Outcomes:
  1. Demonstrate knowledge of the design and construction considerations in building a LAN (Local Area Network).
  2. Assemble a LAN.
  3. Install NOS (Network Operating System) (NetWare 3.x).
  4. Construct user accounts, groups, and security.
  5. Install application software, printers, menus, and accounting.
