CS 244 - Introduction to Dev Ops

This course is designed to give students an introduction to the tasks and workflows used to manage and maintain software products throughout their life cycle. Topics include logging, metrics and monitoring, continuous integration, continuous delivery, source control, build pipelines, testing and automation.
Course Outcomes:
 

  1. Design testable programs and modules.
  2. Examine various levels of testing.
  3. Discuss multi-environment logging strategies.
  4. Monitor use cases.
  5. Design build pipelines.
  6. Incorporate CI/CD pipelines.
  7. Implement source control strategies.
