DT 192 - Cooperative Seminar

Students explore issues related to their cooperative work experience focusing on effective workplace relationships and how self-knowledge, perception, attitudes, and behavior affect these relationships and job satisfaction. Students will also learn effective learning skills for workplace and educational success.
Course Outcomes:
 

  1. Analyze the characteristics of leadership.
  2. Evaluate the major roles of a leader.
  3. Differentiate between leadership and management.
  4. Examine interpersonal behaviors and the resulting effect on working relationships.
  5. Analyze stress and its impact on effective leadership.
  6. Differentiate between the basic types of conflict and examine methods of facilitating conflict resolution.
  7. Examine management attitudes and the need to plan for change.
