Study of preventive maintenance on medium and heavy duty vehicles. Topics include truck classifications, P.M. programs, out of service criteria, wheels and rims, frame and cross-members, trailer maintenance, and coupling devices. Students must be seeking a degree or certificate in Diesel Technology.
Course Outcomes:

Distinguish between the different truck classifications.
Evaluate out of service criteria.
Arrange P.M. scheduling.
Appraise truck and trailer P.M. problems.
Evaluate personal progress on the NATEF task list.
