DT 185 - Drivetrains

Study of the various components found in the powertrain system. Topics include theory, operation, troubleshooting, and repair of clutches, transmissions, torque converters, drive lines, differentials, and power take-off devices. This class will emphasize ASE/NATEF competency completion. Students must be seeking a certificate or degree in Diesel Technology.
Course Outcomes:

Interpret knowledge of drive train theory.
Examine, tear down, and rebuild drive train components.
Analyze problems with drive train systems.
Evaluate personal progress on the NATEF task list.
