ELA 031 - ELA United States History and Government and the Arts

This course is designed for students seeking an adult high school diploma through the High School 21 Program, students studying for the GED exam, and students seeking educational enrichment. In this course, students will investigate US History and Government through a variety of multimedia, reading, writing, fine art, and music. Students will respond to a wide variety of themes, by era in American History, beginning with the American Revolution through the development of our modern government, from the 1600s to the present. The content will examine the pathway and the development of the modern day culture, democracy and the federal government. Students who successfully complete this course could earn High School 21 credit in American History/Government and fine arts.
