PSYC& 200 - Lifespan Psychology

An in-depth study of human development focusing on the biological, cognitive, and psychosocial domains of each of the stages of the lifespan from birth to death. 
Course Outcomes:
  1. Distinguish among the major theoretical perspectives within lifespan psychology and apply them to an array of topics in the field of lifespan psychology.
  2. Explain the major changes which occur to humans across the lifespan in terms of cognitive, biological, and psychosocial development.
  3. Apply developmental psychological concepts to self and others.
  4. Define and explain psychological terminology related to lifespan psychology.
  5. Appraise the value and validity of research in the area of lifespan psychology.
  6. Explain the factors related to individual differences in human growth and change across the lifespan.
