ACCT 303 - Intermediate Accounting III

Continuation of ACCT 302, Intermediate Accounting II. This course covers business capital structures, interim reporting, and advanced analysis of domestic and international financial statements and standards.
Course Outcomes:
  1. Calculate basic and diluted earnings per share.
  2. Analyze derivative types and hedging activities.
  3. Identify and correct accounting errors.
  4. Illustrate and employ changes in the accounting system.
  5. Compare international and domestic accounting standards.
  6. Prepare an in-depth financial statement analysis in order to identify create and fraudulent accounting.
  7. Compute the taxation of assets
  8. Recognize and interpret pensions and other post-retirement benefits

  2. Pension accounting and post-retirement benefits
  3. Lease accounting, capital leases and operating leases
  4. Accounting changes and error analysis
  5. Statement of cash flows
